Consultation and engagement
The taskforce is undertaking broad and wide-ranging community consultation.
Anyone who would like to have their say about women’s experience of the criminal justice system is invited to make a submission to inform the taskforce’s consideration.
The Taskforce will also release discussion papers seeking input on specific issues and hold targeted consultation and engagement forums throughout its consideration of the terms of reference.
In particular, we would like to hear from victims and survivors of domestic, family or sexual violence and offenders. We want to learn from your experience of the criminal justice system to help us understand the issues.
In addition, we will be consulting with a wide range of groups and individuals including (but not limited to):
- domestic, family and sexual violence service providers and networks
- relevant advocacy groups
- legal stakeholders and practitioners
- prosecution and policing agencies
- the judiciary
- the broader Queensland community.
More information about the taskforce’s consultation and engagement activities will be available on this site soon. To receive updates from the taskforce, please register your interest.
